synch bug

Post by castor troy »

Are there any attempts to make that bug not showing up all the time? Makes PBEM impossible so either there´s a working AI (which will never happen anyway) or there should be a working PBEM.

It doesn't make PBEM "impossible" in any way, shape or form. Quit whining.

He was run over by a bus...[:'(]

Any claim that the synch bug makes PBEM "impossible" is idiotic and fails to take into account the hundreds of AAR's posted on this forum.

well, from what I´ve read so far (from you) makes me sure that I did a couple of thousand PBEM turns more than you and I had 3 PBEMs being quit due to the synch bug. The reason for that was that it just wasn´t possible to resolve it with any method advised on the forum.

Why am I even replying to your dumb answer... [>:]

the only thing that is "idiotic" (using your words) is your behaviour since day one you joined the forum. It´s a pity you don´t get tired of yourself posting here as there are more than me who would open up a bottle of beer if they don´t have to deal with your thousands of useless posts that noone needs. While other people (very, very few) had an annoying habit, they learnt from what long term forum members told them and they changed the way they were posting. Not you, you are still the **** that posts on and on his "idiotic" (using your words again) spam posts with the only purpose to annoy or piss off other forum members.

It´s a pity that you seem to have some friends at Matrix games that are still standing behind you instead of giving you a kick in your ass, as while they stand behind you, they piss off other forum members because of that. I´m just glad that you have problems with more people not just with me, as this clearly shows that you are the guy that has something wrong going on in his obviously not so smart head, as not just I have been telling you that, no others too, even forum moderators - with the result that nothing can help you changing your style of "idiotic" (again your words) behaviour on this forum. I found it more than amusing when I left the WITP subforum and was looking through other subforums when I found out that you not just have problems with a couple of people here in the WITP forum but also in other forums. Well, obviously that wasn´t surprising at all. Noone needs a stinky dog in his garden.

The PBEMs which I had and were quit because of the synch bug were quit after hundreds of hours invested, which is most certainly more time than you even have spent PLAYING this game. Saying this from the fact, that most things you say about the game are just plain wrong - if you look up the dozen posts that were not just "idiotic" (oh, again your words) spam posts, but about the game.

What you call "idiotic" is surely your statement about all the AARs, when half of them not made it further than a couple of months - because of game bugs or frustrating coding - and the other half being stopped due to other reasons. But hey, there are 5 AARs that made it to 45... your arguments are once again perfect...

Unfortunately it seems that creating thousands of spam posts on this forum even made you part of the AE-team, while I´m glad you´re not part anymore... haven´t had enough time to do your spam then, eh?

As the super spammer says that it is NOT impossible for the Allied to play PBEM if he has constantly the synch bug I really wonder if that is the oppinion of Matrix games also...[8|]

Caster, I think Joe mentioned that they had found one or more additional casues for the sync bug, but I an not completly sure about that. I agree that if you can't get it to sort itself out, the game becomes very frustrating for the Allies. So far I have only had one or two turns with sync problems and then it cleared up. But if a game becomes frustrating, then it becomes not worth continuing. We play for enjoyment, not frustration and irratation.

Many cause of sync bug: most are due to different versions (ie - different maps) OR

Memory problems - ESPECIALLY failure of players to reboot before running a combat replay (and ESPECIALLY the Japanese player).

EDIT: This is brief since i am currently limited with internet connectivity problems...

Lately, most problems i've seen are corrected by making sure of proper map/game version coordination AND

having BOTH players do a proper reboot IMMEDIATELY before the turn - and making sure nothing else is running at the same time.
