Air Transport

Post by nerod »

When using air transport, does the flying distance between the base and target make a difference in the rate of transport. I expect the answer is no, but logic would dictate that flying 30 miles to deliver supplies or troops would be more efficient and allow more trips per day per plane than flying 500 miles to the target hex and returning for another load.

its unreasonable to expect more than one trip a day for air supply operations, except in dire emergencies. Of course, once you get to more than 10 hexes or so, unreasonableness moves closer to impossibility given human factors.
Last time I checked, the forums were messed up. ;)

I have also noticed that with continuous supply flights over long distances you start losing pilots. This is a great feature, while it is unfortunate to lose a good pilot the fact that you do is sooo realistic!
