Error 1904 on install

error 1904 - c:\windows\system32\maxfbtranspicture.ocx
can't find

This with 1.7 downloaded yesterday to maxfb version 2.2. Had not previously installed
your editor.

If I understand your post correctly, elmerlee, you have to install the patch (or complete install) for Version 2.0 before you install the 2.2 patch.

Uninstall 1.7 and install 1.6 or something like that. When you find on that works, install 1.7. By that point, you should have that .ocx file on your computer.

I really can't help you more than that right now, just because my program is in major rehaul mode and I can't release any new updates yet... sorry! [:(]

elmerlee, are you on Vista? If so, David suggested the following which worked for me:

Installing these on VISTA (or XP) ~might~ help.

I have not attempted to do this though. These would need to be installed prior to installing your utilities so that the OCX can register properly.

Be aware that I first installed 1.6 and then installed 1.7. Not sure if it'll work going straight to 1.7 or not.

Actually I am running XP. I'll give both ideas a try.
