German ships/planes etc

Post by Brausepaul »

Hi,

I wonder if there are any German units available in some of the available DBs, and if so, which ones? Are there good scenarios with German participation?

There are plenty of German platforms (aircraft, ships, submarines, and installations) in the various databases.

I know the HCDB (the database supplied with HCE) has platforms from the Cold War era (generally speaking, from 1980 forward), including both West German and East German units; modern day platforms from unified Germany; and new and upcoming platforms, like the F124 Sachsen and Euro Hawk.

Rene Haar's Euro DB (now known as the HC_80to95_DB) also contains plenty of German platforms, I'm sure, particularly as Rene hails from Germany. [;)]

There are also no shortage of scenarios that feature German units. Rene could elaborate on which ones he's aware of.

Yes there are some scens....

when you check my Baltic Battleset you´ll find some of them.

and i´ll add a Country Summary for FRG and GDR, simply remove the .txt to recover the pdf file.

My DDs contain all (98%) German Units for the specific time frame.

Hi,

thank you for your answers, I'm a little bit unsure about the relation between a battleset, a scenario and a database. My understanding is that a database contains the raw data like ships, their weapons etc. A scenario is something like a single mission while a battleset is a set of scenarios with a database, is that correct?

And since everything can be downloaded seperately I have to ensure that I get the correct combinations, right?

In short, yes. Scenarios must match the battlesets and databases for which they were created.
