Pbem suddenly turning into AI only

A friend and i are trying to play a pbem game and have this continual problem.Everything seems to go well until we combat and then it i just skips your oppoents turn. Our latest attempt started with us swapping side, myself going Prussia and him going france, every went welll for awhle at this point we havent has an economic phase. Any way he attacked Austria, I DOW on him i attacked his french army in the north and went into combat and instead of reating a battle file i kept letting me continue fighting the battle then skipped through the fench phases as if it were suddenly the AI and ended up back to my Second land phase.So far we have had 7-8 Attempts at playing a PBEM and this type of thing continues to happen, we never even get to our first economic phase.

we are playing version 1.01b

Try the latest patch 1.02d since I did fix a few issues where this could happen.

Dont you mean 1.02g?
Btw Marshall, could you get them to fix the text, the file downloadable is 1.02G
But description in member areas says :
Version v.1.02 BETA (13 MAR 2008)

It should say 25 MAR 2008 for latest version.
