I'm in the same area as some bombers, and try to fire my cannons at them, but I cannot.

Under what circumstances can I fire cannons?

The bombers weren't listed as being at any altitude.

I can shoot at fighters though.

You must be at the same altitude as what you want to fire at. For bandits, you must at high altitude. For sites, you must be at low altitude. Otherwise, you can't fire at that object, no matter how close you are.

Thats wrong, ive cannoned bandits at low altitude.

The MiG's, planes are considered bandits in game, yes.
