Invalid Serial Number

Post by acronym »

Hi -

I got the download (the physical copy is shipping) and received the serial number in my email.

The install program will not accept it.

Invalid Serial Number

I have carefully typed it in many times and even copy and pasted it directly from the email.

Please help.

Thanks

Hi Acronym,

Sorry for the trouble you've had, I'm not sure what's causing the problem.

Could you please e-mail me at erikr@matrixgames.com with your order # and serial #? We'll investigate this together with you to find out what's going on.

Regards,

- Erik

Hello,

I have the same problem. I'd buy Harpoon on 03/31/08. But, it still doesn't run because of an invalid serial number.
Could I please also contact you Erik.

Thanks

Hello

I'm having the same problem as well. I purchased Harpoon CE and Harpoon 3 ANW. Harpoon CE installed successfully, but when I tried to play it, I got an error message that the serial number was invalid.

With Harpoon 3 ANW, I can't even enter the serial number. I have tried several times and have downloaded it twice to make sure it was correct. Still no solution.

Please help. I have sent an email to support@matrixgames.com and to Erik as well.

I hope that this can be resolved.

Hello,
I think there is now an other version at the server. It´s  version 3.8  and it works. You can later upgrade to 3.9, too.
But Matrix didn't say anthing to me.

Maybe this helps you.

We addressed this issue with those who e-mailed us by sending out new serial numbers. We've also addressed it on the server side now, so if you redownload you should be fine with the serial number you already had.

The 3.9.2 update won't recognize my serial number.

Erik, I sent you an e-mail with my S/N for verification.

We've re-uploaded the patch and I tested it with your serial number. It should work fine for you now, let me know if you still have problems.

I'm having a problem with game registration, it comes up as an invalid serial even though the game accepts my serial without any problems.

Ditto, when I tried registering it in the members area. Games installed, updated, working.
Someone from support @ Matrix games is looking into it, you might want to fire them an email

All,

I am getting back into Harpoon ANW. I've loaded the game (I have the CD that I purchased from Matrix 07/2006) on my computer (this is the first time I've loaded it on this computer - it's been a couple of years since I've played!). My computer runs Vista Ultimate 64-bit. The original load runs (v3.7.0) but when I patch it to v3.9.4 I get an error. I've been able to work thru most of them (i.e. the TimLib.dll error and the database.dll error) but the last error states "There is an error with your serial number as entered" and "Error Code: -1".

I've scoured the Matrix and AGSI forums. I have noted some serial number errors but most seemed to have been repaired since my purchase. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help that y'all can provide! [&o]
Eddie

NOTE: I have also followed AGSI's Troubleshooting tip and re-installed several times without success. Also, the game is installed in the default folder, not in the 'Program Files' folder.

Disregard - I have fixed my own problem. Apparently v3.9.4 patch is not cumulative. When I patch from 3.7 straight to 3.9.4 I have the various problems. When I clean installed and incrementally installed thru 3.9.4 everything works perfect (so far, haven't played any scenarios, but at least I'm in the game).

Info for anyone who seems to have these issues...
