CHS 157 (NikMod) Japanese Opponent Wanted - closed

Post by Son of Jorg »

Hi there! I am currently playing two PBEM's, one as the Allies in a stock game, versus the excellent Dive Bomber, and one as the Japanese in CHS 157 (though we are having major email problems, as he lives across the Pacific, and I'm not sure if we can continue.) I have discovered though that I am definitly an AFB!

I would like to play as Allies in CHS 157, both because I really like the map, art, and modifications, and to take advantage of many of the hard lessons learned so far from playing Dive. I prefer a realistic, though not necessarily historic, game...meaning, house rules would center around not taking advantage of non-historic game mechanics (like using subs to take rear area bases with 5 soldiers, huge ASW hunter/killer groups, things like that.) Otherwise, Im open to house rules you may want to suggest. I can also play a turn a day, sometimes more on weekends; me and Dive have a pretty good daily thing going, and it has been consistent.

Dive has been a great opponent and has played a realistic game, and I've enjoyed it immensley. I dont play the so called 'Sir Robin' style as allies, both because I think its unrealistic, and because its just not fun for me. And if I'm playing a game on the scale of this one, which could potentially take years to complete, I want to have fun ever single day!

It has been recommended to not post your email as apparently it can get picked up by spyware or something and get me on lists, so just send a message via these forums if youre interested, and I will get back to you ASAP to discuss details!

I'm interested. I have two years of experience (PBEM) having played the Japanese in both stock and nik-mod. I've never played CHS 157 but have had it downloaded for over a year now. I'm a retired accountant and enjoy toying around with the Japanese economy. I consider myself good strategically but only mediocre tacticly.

About our game..Here are some suggestions as you seem to have trouble with my mail.

Yes. I sent you the turn around 5 times. And follow up mails after every time I sent the turn.
Before giving up, why don`t you make a gmail account. My guess is they would have more space.
Also, check for my e-mails under spam..There is a good chance yahoo automatically put them into spam for some reason.

My 3 suggestions are (in order) 1. Check for my mail in spam2. Delete the turns I sent you. Also delete the turns you sent me from the outbox. thesetake up a ton of space and I am sure yahoo mail has only limited space.3. Try gmail for game mails. Google gives away a huge amount of space

political and strategic mistakes live forever". The authors were refering to Japan but the same could be said of the US misadventure in Iraq
