What software for making vehicle models

Post by kfmiller41 »

Titlel says it all, if i wanted to make vehicle models for this game what software would be needed, can you use an inexpensive one or do you need a specific program.

Am really looking forward to this release since CM series went on hold[&o]

The actual software used to make the models probably doesn't mater, although the team used 3D studio max. What does seem to mater is that polytrans (a 3d format convertor/exporter) must be used to actually get the models into the game.

Post release I will continue to investigate ways of making the process easier and cheaper.

Some of our modelers also used Maya, though I'm fairly sure even Milkshape would work. PolyTrans is necessary for the import though, when it comes to all the animations.
