UK Bundle price

Post by jamespcrowley »

Maybe I'm being dense but following the link for UK isn't giving me a bundle price : PCoWS is priced at £24.99 and PCK at £25.99.

Using 'the rest of the World' gives me Digital and Physical ,on both, as $161.00, around £40 for each [X(]
Cheers

James,

That's not what I saw when I tested these, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Could you post a screenshot and do you have an order number? I'll get our store support involved to check this out.

Have you tried clearing your cookies, restarting and seeing if that helps? What browser do you use?

Regards,

Wait, I think I just figured out what you were saying and there's no issue.

You need to use the special bundle links, not the UK link. The total bundle discount price if you are ordering the physical versions is $84.98. Note that each game normally costs $39.99 Download or $49.99 Physical. Without the discount, the Physical bundle would be $99.98, but the discount bundle is $84.98 due to the $15 discount. The Download bundle would be $79.98 but is instead $64.98 (again $15 off). If you convert these to pounds, I think it will work out.

The link you want for the UK is the following:

Download Bundle: http://www.digitalriver.com/promo=210228

Physical Bundle: http://www.digitalriver.com/promo=210317

I just checked these and they are working fine with the right prices here.

Erik

I can't seem to get a screenshot to work at the moment but the screen shows four prices; one for each of the games, one for Dl another for physical, for a total of four prices amounting to $161

Does the physical version include the DL version as well? I which case I can ditch the DL options and your figures would be correct.

Cheers

It sounds to me like you clicked on two bundles and didn't remove one. Try clicking the little trash can icons in your shopping cart to delete everything that's in there. Then close your browser, re-start it and try adding in the one bundle that you want.

They are only one or the other for the discount bundles, so it looks like you actually have added both bundle versions to your cart instead of just one.

Ah!

Are you saying that the bundles are mutually exclusive?

When, for instance, I purchased JTCS I got to DL it as well as have a physical copy for the same price.

The UK site allows me to do the same, with PCOWS and PCK, for around $102. Using the bundles to get both Physical and DL costs $161?

That seems harsh to me. Or I have still misunderstood?

Correct. Let me get a bit technical here for a sec.

Our store supports download and physical versions. We offer for each individual game a download only, download+physical and physical only option. That's three possible ways to purchase the game.

The thing is, the download+physical option is, in store terms, already a "bundle". The store has a limitation that it can't do a "bundle of a bundle". That's why when we have to bundle two separate games together for a discount, we can only bundle either the download + download or the physical + physical. It's a store limitation.

That's why for the discount bundle you have to either choose the download only bundle or the physical only bundle. I wish we could offer the download+physical that we normally do, but we can't until the store is upgraded to be able to "bundle a bundle".

See above, I hope I explained it clearly enough, the intention (for the discount bundles) is that you choose only one.
