FOF or COG?

Post by ArborisMatrix »

I am considering purchasing “Forge of Freedom.” However, I am more interested in Napoleonic’s and I am tempted to pick up “Crown of Glory.”

My question is what would I be losing by picking up COG in place of FOF?

More to the point what are the downsides to going with the older game engine?

Keep in mind that I enjoy both Civil war and Napoleonic settings. However, Napoleonic’s has a slight edge.

Thank you!

Any opinions or did I choose a slow forum day to ask?

Why not go for FoF and get CoG when the expansion is out (sometimes this year)?

Forego the next Mother's day and Father's day gifts and get 'em both.  Thy're both very outstanding games.

You can read about our plans for "Crown of Glory: Emperor's Edition" in the COG forum. Lots of new goodies are being added.

i would go with FOF and if you like pickup the COG xpack.  FOF is the best ver of the eng. and plays very well.   you can then at least get fimilar with the game.  You will not be disappointed.
