I was just talking to Paul Vebber over in the Combat Leader forum and here is what he suggested about getting into the problem of the GAMES FAILING TO LOAD in PBEM games.
Quote:"OH that, that is usually caused by write caching in windows not doing a file save when the game tells it and you are left with an unencyrpted save file that the game doesn;t recognize.
The easiest work around is to save the game just before you "end turn". Alt tab to the desktop and copy the save in a temp folder. Then return to the game End turn and open the .dat file using notepad. IF it begins with readable SPWAW1.00 text or something like that, the final write did not occur. Go back and retry it from the save you copied. " End Quote
What I think he means is that just before you end your PBEM turn to exit the game(it will ask you if you want to stop and start again latter) then go into the MatrixGames directory and copy your e-mailed saved game into a temp directory. Then go back into your PBEM game and end the turn. If the save works correctly and you zip the file and send it to your opponent and if it works you have no worries. If you get the saved game fails to load

Remember life can be Chicken sh*t or Chicken salad it is all up to you.
THANK YOU PAUL!!!!!
