(R) Scenario - WinZIP vs WinRAR

Post by Mraah »

FYI,

I'm unable to ZIP up the scnearios that the RCG creates. Gives me this error because of the (R) character in the scenario name ... see screen shot below.

However, WinRAR is capable of handling this.

I know this is a WinZIP problem and not PCK, but for purposes of sharing RCG games (I'm assuming RBG save with same name?) and keeping the filename the same I can only suggest using WinRAR. Perhaps my WinZIP is outdated, I haven't tried a new WinZIp, yet.

Yes, I could rename the file, however, if I rename the file how do I make the (R) symbol again?
Also, if I rename the file it doesn't appear in the BATTLES, ie a name without the (R).

Any thoughts?

Rob

I think that using (R) sign (I don't even know how to type it) in a file name is *not* a very good idea anyway.

Don't have the game yet (d/l ongoing, over in 20 mins lol), is it possible to manually change thi  file names (and still have them work) ?

It was done that way for a good reason, which changed just a few days prior to release (the reason changed, the (r) was left in).

It is something we will look at for update #1
