You mean as a player? If you hit the "Q" key at any time during a game you now have the option to "Surrender" rather than continuing to fight to the bitter end. This can speed things up if you've lost and it's just a matter of time, but you would rather surrender and see the end results than play through it.

If you meant for units, units that fail morale and are in bad situations can also surrender instead of routing or withdrawing.

Erik,

Many thanks, it was the 'Q' key I was looking for. I knew you'd advertised a new Surrender Option, but I couldn't find it documented in the manual.

Darn, looks like we forgot to add that to the hotkeys list. I'll put it in the readme for the next release.

Erik,

By the way, is there any ill effect from surrendering, other than ending the scenario prematurely?

ie, Are my core forces gone?

I haven't surrendered ... yet, but would be nice if you elaborated a bit [:)].

Thanks,

Rob

Hm, good question and I actually don't recall off the top of my head. My assumption though, would be yes. Logically, if your entire force surrenders to the enemy, then they are effectively destroyed as far as continuity. I'm not sure if we did it that way though - that was a while ago. I'll do a quick test when I get a chance.

Regards,

- Erik
