My Adobe and PDFs

Adobe on my machine opens the manual, etc., for Carriers at War, and the Editor manual for Battles in Normandy. But it will not open the manual or the tutorial description for Battles in Normandy. I don't understand what to do. Thanks.

A change in the most recent versions of Adobe caused a problem with some of our older game menus. As a result, if you can't open the manual from the game menu, you have to kill the Adobe process, then go to the Start Menu folder or the installation folder and open the manual from there. We are gradually updating the old menus with new menus as time allows us to create new gold masters and get them into the store.

I solved my problem by putting the PDFs on a memory stick and loading them onto a friends LINUX machine. The viewer there read them fine. So I printed them out. I really have no clue why I could not read them on my machine. But thanks.
