I guess the misconception of the ATR being very powerful in PC:K is the fact that vehicle destruciton animation always results into an explosion (except for abandoning). But if it were to be rendered properly, you won't get an explosion but a disabled tank with a lot of holes.

True. I just read in the book 'Panzer Gunner' that crews were very afraid of their batteries being hit. These were under the floor plates below the turret. If these were hit toxic battery acid could be thrown around the crew compartment blinding and eating at the flesh of everyone.

How is Koios going to animate that?
