Speed Up Game Start!

Ok here is a little startup script I have written for all those people who hate having to confirm their resolution settings each time.

I have only tested it on one 64bit windows system, could someone with a 32bit OS test it to make sure it works.

Unzip the PCK.vbs file into your Panzer Command Directory

Make a shortcut to it from the desktop or start menu or wherever you like.

When you run PCK it should start the game without you having to do anything.

For people who have resolution settings which are available but don't *stick* I could probably code a version for you that makes these settings for you prior to starting the game.

Another tip to speed things up a lot is rename the panzercommandintro.wmv video to something else like panzercommandintro.bak This way you don't need to see the startup movie every time.

I should note now ...

I've had mixed results ...

With a fresh reboot of my system this occurs :

As a short cut by itself (Pck menu active or inactive) it brings up the screen resolution menu.
Then, after closing the Pck Menu, everytime I use the shortcut (with Pck menu active or inactive) it jumps to game right away.

So, basically, on a fresh boot of cpu ... it doesn't work first time.

Looks like I've botched stg before, the vbs files are linked to Notepad on my machine, what association should I make instead ? [&:]
