Buildings?

Post by Agrippa »

Are buildings all the same for cover,or do some provide greater protection? Example; a wood hut and a stone building.

They provide different cover vs. HE. There are heavy and light protection. Sometimes a shell will get past the walls of light cover and do more damage to units in it.

As to protection from small arms. I don't know.

As Mobius said, against small arms all buildings provide protection of -2 to firepower. However, heavy (stone) buildings provide better protection against penetration of larger caliber rounds. So if someone is shooting your squad with a 75mm infantry gun firing HE shells, there will be a greater chance of the shot "penetrating" a non-stone building and detonating inside with full effect (no -2 reduction).
