Close Combat Questions

I know you have to be within 25meters to close combat a tank, but do yougain any advantage when you are even closer? Also, can gun possitions and enemy infantry be attack with close assault?

Getting closer doesn't improve your attack. Getting to the back or side does.

Infantry squads have a 30m melee range, which abstracts the used of grenades, pistols and other weapons. I don't know about close assaulting anti-tank guns.

The range is 25 meters vs. vehicles and once you're within that range, the close assault rules become available. Gun positions can indeed be close assaulted. Enemy infantry are not "close assaulted", but the boosted firepower rating for infantry squads in the 0-30 range assumes close assault, grenades, hand to hand combat, etc.
