New Flags - Warning Swastika alert!

Post by Stridor »

Ok these are not meant to offend anyone.

They are simply a national set of flags which for obvious reasons Matrix can not distribute.

So you can use them at your own discretion.

Hopefully Cougar can make a JSGME mod for this as I have been so busy I haven't had the time to look at his wonderful tutorial in detail yet (it is on the todo list [;)])

The flag top is colour coded to help id the nationality from a distance as they are both substantially red flags!

Unzip into you PCK directory.

Until I or (Cougar) can make a JSGME mod for this please make backups of objective_german.x and objective_russian.x in the Media/Graphics folder so that you can revert back to stock flags in the future if you want.

EDIT: Thanks to Cougar for making this JSGME compatible build

Thanks.  I'll be glad to have these.  I remember the days when it was okay to have the historical swastikas in wargames.  I guess the internationalization of wargaming and Germany's "toy law" makes it bad.  IMO, it's not a "PC" issue when used in historical context.

FLags - JSGE

Post by Mraah »

Here is JSGE compatible ZIP.

All I did was make a FLAGS directory and put the original flags zip contents in it. Thats all you need to do to make it JSGE ready.

UNZIP to you MODS folder and activate :

Thanx Mraah, didn't see the post before now. A bit of advice though, why not call the folder a little more that "Flag"? Not that we have many MOD's right now but in the future... I would call it something like "Flags - Swastika (Stridor)"

And mayby Stridor should edit his first post so it contains the newest version of the MOD. There is no point in people has to read through pages to make sure they have the newest version of a MOD.

Yeah, very good idea !!! Can you change that now or are we letting Stridor do it?

Mark, if you post it here I will move it into my top post with a thank you note.

I am just so heavily involved in getting IE6 support working I have little time for anything else just at the moment.

Thanks

S.
