Unbuttoned Tanks?

Post by Agrippa »

If enemy tanks are unbuttoned why don't my troops fire at them? They will fire within 25 meters, but not outside that range. I would think that a tank leader with his head outside the tank would be a viable target for any unit. Even if they don't get a hit it would force the tank to button up. Also even if the tank is buttoned up I would in some instances like to us a unit from a distance to draw fire from the enemy tanks while other units rushed them from closer in.

Right now, you can't target tanks directly because your infantry consider it a hopeless shot as they can't penetrate. This is actually not intended - while it's not a bug it's an "unintended consequence" of a different change. We'll try to get it to be possible again. In the meantime, you _can_ use area fire to fire at tanks beyond 25m with your infantry and cause them to button up. Just target the ground right in front or to the side of the tank (you should see your small blue area fire box) and it should work.
