Difficulty Settings

Post by Hanal »

I know that the three difficulty settings reflect the number of points you have to spend, but are there any other inherent difficulty settings in the scenarios? I ask because I just completed the Tucheband scenario where I set my Panthers on the numerically superior T34s. I achieved a Legendary victory and to be honest, I really did not feel I earned it. I had my Panthers spread out in 3 wedges and mainly used the Advance Command and it was a "Turkey Shoot". I lost no armor, though a few were damaged but recoverable, and I was picking off the T34s at will....It was as if my tankers were elite and facing a bunch of green Russians...now I do not want to begrudge myself a Legendary victory, but I generally suck at these games early on, and the boot camp missions still give me fits. So did I just manage to play one of the easiest designed scenarios or are the crew ratings different?

Yes, that mission is definitely one of the easiest. Frankly, it's "tank porn" - if you want to see Panthers and T-34/85s, that's the mission to go to, but it mainly shows you that Panthers could beat T-34/85s at range. It's fun to play through once or twice but it's not really meant to be all that complex.

Hi JP,

Although you may stink, I stink worse by a mile.
