Any reason to Button Up?

Post by NefariousKoel »

Just wondering-

Is there any reason I should button up my tanks? I haven't noticed anything different damage/crit-wise if I leave them unbuttoned. Can I take a crew casualty if I leave it open & take fire?

Yes, your chance of taking a crew casualty is significantly increased while unbuttoned. In fact, hits on a few locations while unbuttoned will pretty much guarantee a crew casualty.

I'll verify that your tank cmdr can get zapped if he isn't buttoned.  Keep them unbuttoned only when far from the enemy!

Very much so - sighting is much improved if the tank is unbuttoned. conversely if you want to improve your ability to "hide" try to force your opponents tanks to button up.

I generally will go about unbuttoned to see better.   Trusting to fate that the first hit will not be in my TC's noggin.  The tank will automatically button up after that.
