creating a SL scenario?

I've been looking at my old SL battle sheets and have been thinking about trying to convert one of the roginal scenarios to the PC:K environment. I know the map won't be the same, but was curious as to how well it would work and thought I'd give it a try (mainly want to try creating a set battle scenario before I try working on a Campaign scenario).

I might also use this to experiment with the scene edit program to make one of the maps a little closer to what I'm looking for.

In any event, does anyone know if there are any copywrite issues if I try to port a scenario from the original SL to PC:K?

Speaking in an unofficial capacity, I don't think there would be an issue as long as you are giving it away free and it's not an exact copy, just "based on" the original. Just give them credit in the briefing for the original work you used as a source and I'd say it's fine.

The Hell's Gate single scenario campaign was based on an unofficial ASL scenario. The credits read :

Loosely based on 'Schwerpunkt!' an unofficial ASL scenario, by Jeff Shields (c) 1995.

I'll look forward to an ASL or SL scenario's you build ... too bad we don't have a huge urban map for the old stalingrad SL scenario. Although, you could make it yourself, like you said.

I'm actually looking at "The Capture of Balta" - at least loosely. I've started on the map.

I'm going to use Kharkov map 15a.

I've started working with Scene Edit to move some Houses around. But I'll post be posting some questions very shortly in the map editor thread, as I've allready run into some questions.

I know you've already done a fair bit and of course Stridor started the tutorial, and I've gove over his editro addendums in the manuals directory.
