The last French holdouts are vanquished. There is silence in western Europe.... for now.

Our Egyptian adventure is becoming costly. Traded a battleship (mine) for 6 aircraft (his) last turn..... so we killed scores of British troops in the desert this turn. Tit for tat.... tat... tat... tat...

Our Balkan allies are doing well in Turkey.....

....Our Balkan allies are doing well in Turkey.....

Il Duce

How ironic I typed these words last turn.

Our spies.... er.... loyal friends in the Balkan capitol have heard rumblings of a deception in the works.....
Our fleet, while on routine maneuvers off the coast of Sicily spot a large Balkan invasion fleet a mere 65 km from the coast....
Northern border guards report heavy troop movments on the Balkan side of the border....

The Italian people will not stand for these provications!

In a lightening stike, our naval forces send the Balkan traitor's fleet to the bottom of the Med. with all their evil troops lost in the waves. Our armoured columns are at this moment streaming towards the northern border that is no more.....

Today is the beginning of the end of the Balkan Empire!

Il Duce.

More Balkan fleets spotted and attacked... though not as successful this round...

Balkan landings in North Africa have made it necessary to abandon my Egyptian adventure early.

Balkan paratroops tried to land in Rome but were machine gunned while decending.

Vienna is attacked but holds... just. Armoured reinforcements on the way to relieve the defenders.

Italian forces push the Balkan invades back across the frontier near Venice. Now we start the march on Belgrade!

Vienna is lost to the Balkan horde! Will no one come to our aide!

More Italian forces pour into the border region and blast several Balkan units into retreat. NA forces almost recovered to mainland.

We shall never surrender!

More heavy fighting along the northern border with the Balkan agressors.

THey have landed several small forces on the Italian boot! We have called up more troops. And just to give him some fits we have landed a fair sized force of mixed armour and infantry on his shore and will threaten his soft underbelly. We have already captured one of his main shipyards!

Onward to victory!

Finally cleared the Boot of Balkan raiders.

More landings in southern Balkans, lots of tanks... should give him fits! [8D]

Northern border holding.... just. I need to send more troops there soonest.

Balkan Bast@rd is creeping along the game board edge through Egypt.... but has not taken Alexandria.... must have a deal with Swine Brits![:@] Sent troops to harrass him there too.

Getting pretty tight.....[:(]

Italy will probably collapse under the weight of the Balkan production as he now controls most of Russia and all of Turkey. Spain is an ally, for now, I think he's too busy with England. Germany is also an ally but fighting off the Scandinavians is taking all his units...... so it's just my brave troops to fend off the hoards....

That a shame keep up the tough fight! The only thing you have to fear is fear itself! Tell spain if they dont send you some assistance that you will allow the balks through your territory into their backs. :)

The end is near, but we're not going down without a fight. We have almost conquered Greece!

But there are large forces on the northern border and in Libya....

The Wolves are closing in.... Spain has crossed our western border and we can do nothing as all our troops are in the east fighting the Balkans.

We made some more headway in Greece but are under heavy attack in Libya.

We will fight to the end!

Not really. They were invited in. I won't last long but thought since they were a good ally they could have some of my cities for free before the Balkan machine gets them.

Don't tell anyone though.....[:-][;)]

Well thats pretty honorable of you. Better to give them to your friends then let enemies get them. Hopefully in next rev vic will have it a more robust diplomacy and alliance system. :) then you could send units back and forth that would be spiffy. But still would not help you since the spainish are busy fighting brits.

My first comments when you posted about the `betrayal` was et tu brute

Alas, we have had to treat below the Po River in northern Italy. Both Spain and Balkans now fighting for control of that area.

Our Greek adventure is also almost at an end. Balkan blockade of supplies making very difficult to keep fighting there.

Libya is still ours.... for now.

We have recieved word that the Balkans have turned on their last ally, Germany! The world is doomed!!
