How do I reduce time delay for orders?

How do I reduce the time my orders are displayed in the black box after giving them? Such things as: "TF 213 will move to hex 23, 53" and 'TF 213 will load supplies". Why do I need to wait 3 seconds to read the orders that I have just given?

Yeah, well exactly what preference?

Check out the various settings sub-screens from the main screen. You'll see a whole list of delay settings, in seconds. Set these all to 0.5 or 1 second and you'll see a big decrease in the time messages stay on the screen.
