What the "COL" stands for in Col Vebber. In Lost Victories?

Coloniel, but being unfamilar with foriegn rank structure I can't be positive that this rank really exist in the German Army but it definately would be an equivalent to the Allies rank structure.

Maybe should have been Oberst, then,
though I'm not 100% sure of the structure either.

Very possible but for simplicity, ranks for all countries in SPWAW are displayed as Common Allies ranks, it's probably too difficult to have ranks from all nations be used by the game code. If i'm not mistaken he started out the Mega as a Captain or equivalent (Cpt).

Thanks Resisti, I guess Oberst would be the compatible rank. Can you now do that for the remaining nations?????:D :D

Well, surely not so "scientifically" precise, but the following could give an idea:

I believe that the German equivalent would be Oberstleutnant for a Lt. Colonel and Oberst for a Full Bird Colonel.

Oh, now were getting really picky, I don't think SPWAW has LTC coded into it, so all this started with the rank of COL.

Not trying to be picky, just sharing some info I came across.

No problem who would have thunk it, a simple question of what does COL stand for would turn into this.

Has anyone tried (or been successful) in modifying game code to show nationality ranks on their own systems> Not sure how this is coded in. Would we have to set up a parameter for each nationality or could we just try one, say German? and leave the rest at default. Maybe I'm gettin in a little too deep. ..."
