I am tempted but I am afraid that I will not have the time to do it once

No problem....

I'm thinking I want to be Japan

- Non-historical start so I can reposition ships....no far flung invasions on the first turn.
- PDU's off

Im down to 1 game atm (me Japan CHS 2 day turns currently in late Sept 43). Never played allies in CHS, I'd be willing to give it a go. I really like 2 day turns, but either is fine. As allies, I never use 4E bombers on naval attack. Let me know what other house rules you'd like.
