Numbering Conventions

Post by Brockleigh »

Two questions:

1) Is there anyway to amend the jersey numbering conventions within the game to allow players to 'select' different numbers than the default? Like in the CFL, to have wide receivers and slotbacks select numbers in the 70's (which is an eligible number in Canada)?

2) Is there a way to change the way to game numbers newly created plays? It's too late for this for existing plays, but when I import a playbook, it is inevitable that one or more plays I bring in will have a conflicting filename as one of the existing plays in my folder.

Unfortunately, no. This process is hard coded.

These are system generated files. The numbers are derived from the system time at the millisecond level. I'd think it would be extremely unlikely that two people pressed save-as at exactly the same system millisecond time on two different systems. This is specifically why these play files are not user generated names. If you're getting two plays with conflicting play file names, I have to suspect that at one point they were the same play, then one copy was heavily modified and not saved as a different play.

thanks
David
