Reinstalling version 7

Still hoping for a definitive answer to my thread titled 'New System reinstalling game?'

The reason for the new install is different but the problem is the same. Can't get any response from the company because they just send me here. I purchased the game in 2006. I have the order # and the license #.

Can someone give me advice on downloading the game again? Previous advice in the posts on the other thread are appreciated but haven't helped me download the game again so I can see what the 1.71 patch does.

I'm not sure I understand the issue. You don't need to download the original game, as there is (was?) a stickied thread here with the latest full version. You download that, install it, put your serial number in, then update with the latest patches.

I appreciate your time and reply. However after going everywhere in these varied forums and the company site there is no such sticky. All it will let me do is purchase the game. I even tried that thinking it would let me dl the game and then do the license but instead it wants money before allowing me to dl.
