Russian Delay - Off switch?

Post by Mraah »

Is there a way to turn off the Russian delay? If not, perhaps a patch in the furtue that includes an option?

I'm thinking for purposes of a mod where the Germans would face another opponent that didn't have a delay ... US, British (except during tea time[;)]).

Thanks,
Rob

Maybe not for this release, but for the next one we'll externalize all the nationality delay/initiative values so that they can be easily adjusted.

The problem with open game files is... why would you purchase a sequel if you could make it yourself?

Matrix/Koios has walked a fine line here with so many moddable files. Early in PCK development I messed about with USMC vs IJA mod ideas, modern battles, USA vs Soviets 1945, etc. It finally dawned on me what was fixed in the code for each country and why that is a good thing from the business side of things.

If the next edition allows major modding, it will take a big jump in game features/engine features to get people to purchase a version after that.

Because not everyone has all the time in the world? Seriously though, while this would allow modders to do a great deal, there are always more improvements we can make on the code side to make each release more appealing.

Well, we do plan a big jump in game features and ongoing backwards compatibility.

I was just adding to your original one line reply. I felt like babbling. [:D]
