This will be a test drive of EEO (Evil Empire Option) using version 7.794 which has the modifications made to the supply sinks in Malaya (hope they helped). One PBEM was not enough for me, so I have started another one after answering a thread for a possible team effort using this mod. Now, its just 1:1. This will be my first game with Japan invading Hawaii and other bases on Dec 7th 41 and me forgetting about it and paying the cost. [:@] No redo, just another lesson for me to learn. [:(][:(]

House rules to follow with my comments in respond to his:

Allies can move all fleets at sea

1 port attack for Japan

No new TFs for allies on turn 1 and no moving TFs out of port on turn 1

Jap wont hunt US CVs on turn 1

Russia allowed to attack if Jap lvls in Manchuko drop

1) 4Es naval strike at 10k/ B29s 20k for naval

2) No more then 6 PTs at 1 port and max of 6PTs per fleet - 2 PT TF for port size 5-8 & 3 PT TF for port size 9 -10

3) No more than 6 ASW in a fleet

4) 50 ac per airfield/ no limit for size 9 or 10 plus 10% and FP don't count as they are at sea

5) must pay PPs to move units to diff commands - Chinese to SE Asia to move into Burma/India. I cannot promise for American as they get their historical designation

6) Paras on dots and bases - no drops on non-base hexes

7) Allies can only bombed starting Jap resources and industry

8) B29s can only operate from 6+ airfields

9) No sub landing parties only evacs

10) No supply training or training on empty/dot bases

11) No Japanese ships past Panama and those around map edge

12) if Russia is not at war, shipping can go to and from USA (as IRL), but repeated attacks may lead to active war between Russia and Japan. I will let you know if and when a TF does so.

I will use some combat reports to start with as I seek to find how I will present info on this AAR.
The first game was ended after turn 1 with changes made by Cid in RHS, so rather than start a brand new AAr, I have edited the first one (only two post). I will delete parts of the Combat Reports, specifically those air attacks that result in no hits and/or casualties..

Comments:
Mini-KB in this mod consist of CVL Ryujo (40), CVL Zuiho (30), CVL Mizuho (30), CVL Chitose (30), CVL Chiyoda (30). They carry Mike for fighters and Kates as TB. They had one flight over Wake Island and are 2 hexes due east of that Island (Ryujo was the only one to specifically show up), but moving the cursor over the TF seems to indicate the rest are here. I feel they will be heading to Midway next.

With Pearl Harbor only getting the AF closed, I had to decide what to do with my ships as they all had their full Op points available. I decided to sortie and scatter everything that could do 10 knots or more. Thus, only 5 ships plus PT boats are left. I have gone over this decision endless times in the last few days while I did my turn. [&:][:(][&:] Some are going west to northwest as my CVs are there and hopefully it is not high on his list of possible egress routes. Most of my DDs are going east to southeast and should be 12 hexes away. My 2 slowest (and slightly damaged BBs) that can only move at 18 knots, are going to hopefully hit his two landing beaches at Kona and Hilo before they are sunk. If they survive, I'll be surprised. I'm hoping most of my larger capital ships can find a way to be more than 5 hexes away from any part of Kb and thus avoid the torpedo carrying Kates.

I go through every base after the first attack and change prep for LCUs, make up TF (I ended up with a TF # 1450 [X(]), and decide were I will "try" to defend. My initial WC LCU's are prepping for the islands in French Polynesia. They may move up to Pago Pago area. My subs in and around Pearl have been sent to the local bases along with the Line Islands to evac a frag of the LCUs there. They will be transported to LA for eventual rebuilding.

My 2 CV TF will rendevous 4 hexes NE of Midway along with the CA and 6 DMS from Johnson Island.

Comments:
I was surprised to have lost only 1 BB running away from Pearl. However, WV will probably be the second to be sunk. I have the Tennessee to the west of Pearl amongst many of my repair ships. I did not take into account that Johnson Island would fall and allow him to base Nell/Betty there and thus range into my escaping ships. So I expect to lose my third BB as a result along with too many of the repair ships. These ships will run SE from there current position and I can onlu hope for bad weather to save them.

Comments:
The screenshot shows KB to the east with mini-KB next to Midway. West Virginia is in the middle and will "try" to keep going north, but damage is 30/58/7 with speed of only 8. Further north near the Equator are 3 DMS, 2 DM, 2 DD, & 2 AVD that are low on fuel or will be dry after this next turn. The AO that starts the game at Dutch Harbor has been sent south. 30k worth of fuel has left Seattle for Kodiak with another 20k coming from San Fran. My 2 CV TF are getting away safely and will head for Kodiak for refueling. If he sends any of his carriers north, then some of these ships are in trouble. Hopefully, KB continues moving NE to follow the few decoys I sent out and had hoped he would attack (which he has [:D]).

To the south of Hawaii, BB Tenn and my repair ships were not attacked from Johnson Island.

If they can survive this turn, they should be safe. Thus, I may lose only 2 BBs (I still don't think WV will survive) from my exodus from Pearl. I will consider this a major victory if I can get some of my low fuel ships to safety.

He seems to be using subs almost exclusively to attack my ships fleeing Manila. There are now 6 involved.

Comments:
