The VC 510th Bn moves on the regional forces unit in Chau Rhu and attacks:

EDIT: As it turns out I should have held onto the city instead. That way I might have
garnered some conscripts that I could have disbanded and added them to the supply
pool. I'm learning as I go along and it shows.

The VC 306th Bn attacks the ARVN RF unit it forced out of Phu Vinh last turn. It
gets several retreat before combat results and finally destroys the unit then splits
into three units converts hexes and disbands:

EDIT: As you can see I failed to convert the city to NVA control before I left it. I shouldn't
have done that either. Same explaination as above for a different city.

The VC Long An Viet Cong Bn attacks the ARVN RF unit it forced out of Tam An last turn. It
gets several retreat before combat results:

The VC D764 Bn and 3rd/U Minh 10 unit attacks the ARVN arty unit at ignore losses since they can't
disband on the spot and get a retreat before combat result which makes a hole they can
possibly escape through:

EDIT: Again I failed to convert the city to NLF control. Maybe instead of leaving it trying to escape I should have dug in and held on.

The VC 514th Bn attacks the southernmost ARVN unit trying to escape from Go Cong and sure
death if they stay there ( since he can't disband on the spot ).

EDIT: It just occurs to me that I probably should have just dug in and made the ARVN's attack me. If I dug in the entrenchment would have had the result that my unit would have probably caused more damage to the ARVN's than my attacking him.

The NVA 312th Div attacks the an ARVN unit on their way to Ho Duc:

The NVA 271st Reg moves to a better position for converting hexes in the future:

The 3rd/Binh Dinh VC unit decides to convert some hexes and disband:

I will be posting into the AAR on a regular basis, but my approach will be a bit different from Larry's. I will comment on our match from a more strategic angle as well as from a design perspective.  I'll attach snapshots of important battles or unusual events, but I don't plan to cover every battle.

And thanks Larry for starting up this AAR.  I'm sure it'll make for good reading.

Why are you disbanding so many of your units? You could just use them to convert hexes next turn.

Although Larry may have different motives I suspect it is to keep the VC from getting KIA during the Allied turn.
