I am running into some weird pathing issues in Bootcamp #6. At some point a blocked infantry unit is "sliding" >50 m from its origin to re-path! [X(]

I have also noticed a few cases where a blocked unit is moving a couple of meters and then goes back and forth for a rather long time (maybe half a phase or more). Hope such weird behaviors can be fixed.

Incidentally, I have another issue with Bootcamp 6... the gun was present in the unit list at the beginning but it did not show up during the scenario (nor did I see any T-60). I've tried several times with the same result each time. Am I missing something ?

BTW, I've been running 1.01d since Day 1 and installed 1.01e today (to no effect).

I am attaching the .sav file for the sliding unit, if that can help.

Thanks, we've made some improvements for the next version based on this report and save file.

Regarding Boot Camp 6, the Infantry Gun shows up as a reinforcement after Turn 5. The T-60 has a 50% chance per turn of showing up after Turn 5, so some times you may see it, other times not. Usually you'll see it by Turn 8.

Thanks for the feedback, Erik (and glad those can be fixed!)

I actually played the scenario twice to completion and tried 2 more times for 10 turns or so (mainly hitting the play button)... no gun, no T-60! Either I am the most unlucky guy on the planet or there is something wrong somewhere... [;)]

Actually should I see the gun from turn 1 ('cause I never do) or from turn 5 onwards ?

Maybe you can take a closer look at the file I posted for further checking.

Hm, I played through that scenario in 1.01e and the infantry gun did show up for me on Turn 6. I'll run through it again before the next release to verify.

I downloaded your save game and played it a couple of times. I didn't see the I.G. either, though in the after actioin report it shows as having ernaed a Bronze Bar.

Also played thorugh twice and didn't see any Russian Tanks, and none appear in after action.

Just curious but what version did you start this campaign with. I was thinking there was changes to the Boot Camp during one of the updates that I thought required you to start the bootcamp over - but not sure.

In any event - I didn't see IG gun in your game - but It was their when I played this scernaio.

Rick,

I installed 1.01d right after download.
Same here by the way... I can see the gun in the list (purchase & after action panels) but not during play.

Please give your pathing/collision save another try with v1.01f (just uploaded). I think you'll be pleased.

I'm looking into the reported gun issue, haven't had time to re-test Boot Camp yet.

Thanks for this really quick update, Erik!

I'm more than pleased... great job! It seems to work as it should... really. It is nice to see the unit advancing while continuously adapting the path as it gets stuck. Did I mention it was a great job ? [;)]

Still no gun on turn 6, but never mind I'm out of bootcamp now, enjoying my first "real" scenario (Hell's gate... great stuff!)

EDIT: forgot to mention that there was no noticeable change in computation time (in reference to Cougar_DK's comment in the other post).
