NATO Symbols - type 2

Post by Bil H »

I did a complete overhaul of my NATO coin graphics. After playing with them for a while I decided that the original set could be improved tremendously. So I color coded them (gray for German and red for Russian) this will allow me to easily create icons for any other country that is added in the future to this game system.

I have attached a JSGME ready version.

I also completely redid the icons in the HUD unit view... these use the same symbols as the coins. Unfortunately I could not make these side specific so they are generic and work for both sides.

This pack also includes the new unidentified unit icon and the latest minefield icons.

Enjoy!
Bil

Thanks for the hard work Bil H. I like the German gray color better then the blue color of the rev 1 version.

A suggestion though, if it is possible. Could you make the armor vehicle/squad/team icon a slot instead of a triangle? It would make it easier to distinguish from the generic marker.

Also, is there any any way to use the coins while still using the standard icons in the HUD?

Rocketman, feel free to make any changes yoiu need, but I don't want to personally create a custom set everytime somebody wants a tweak.. I hope you can understand that.  By the way, the triangle is a standard map symbol shape denoting armor (when the full symbol is not used), none of these shapes are made up... from a distance the triangle shape is far superior to the tread symbol.

Also, if you want to not use the symbols in the HUD then just delete all of the 30 x 30 files from my folder.

Thanks, Bil
