Philippines subs

Post by LoneGunman »

As there is a significant force of US submarines in Manila port in December 1941, I'm interested in your opinions of their best use. Is it better to send them to patrol and hunt japs or is it better to give them a transport orders and use them to supply Manilla area? Maybe the combination of these can be best, but in what ratio?

The S class still has working torps, so use them vs. enemy shipping. The rest can be somewhat useful in mining capacity as well, but you need to get singapore or soerabaja to level 9 to use them for that.

You can also move a few of the fleet boats down to Oz and use the southern ports to base them for missions around the Solomons.

Thanks for replies. I will send some of them to the S/SW Pacific for sure. That area is weak and also very important.
