Intercepting Air Transports!

Post by The Gnome »

Wow wow wow! Has anyone else done this?? I had 2 batches of P-38G's on long range CAP about 5 hexes outside of Rabaul and something amazing happened.... During the turn execution I get messages that P-38's are intercepting transports followed by a list of shot down or damaged Topsy's!

I counted 18 shot down and 22 damaged! Wow!

Yep.

I put mine on CAP over the enemy units or base I want to attack. I find that the AI will try and fly supplies/troops in if you stop his ships. Pity the Jap AI doesnt do the same thing to protect its transport planes?

I had a couple C47s intercepted by imperial fighters and shot down while trying to move supplies from Townsend (?) - one of those north Aussie bases any way - to PM.
The only skills I have the patience to learn are those that have no practical application in real life.

Thats "Townsville"

Townsville is a nice city in Queensland.

Queensland is 1 hour and twenty years behind the rest of the country :)
