submarine fix

Post by deilthedog »

a few wishes for the patch
sub groups to react to tf's.
manual sub groups to return to base automatically when out of fuel or ammo (this would save so much hassle)
sub hunter tf's to react to subs.

The first one already happens, but the other two are good ideas. :)

von Murrin,
how to get sub react? mine stay always i the hex I order them to patrol.

SC, PC, american PG, DD and all other ship with dept charge will try to attacj subs if enough experienced for night combat.
A crew with less of 40 of exp, very hardly will attack a sub, with 50 or more they begin to do a fair work!

You need to put them on computer control after they reach the patrol zone you give them. Once set, they'll move around a bit every so often, and will move to intercept known fleets/convoys or shadow one they've attacked.

Sometimes they'll even shadow and attack three or more times. :)

You can give them a destination from port while they are on computer control with the same effect and less micromanagement

Yes, but they may wander a little farther than you had intended. :)
