As with many posts, a waste of time. I guess I asked for it to some degree. I like many would prefer to know "when" we can expect this game to be ready to play, so that we may buy it, install it and play the new version. I hope this provides sufficient clarity. I understand the confusion this may cause for some of you. My apologies.

A re-statement of the answer is that for both the "when" and the "how much $$" question, these are Matrix decisions, not AE Team decisions and Matrix has a policy of not announcing either of these in advance.

From the sounds of things, the AI is proving a difficult horse to wrangle, so it is probably going to be a later release than this. Keep in mind that the vast majority of the people working on this are volunteers, and they all have other jobs (not with Matrix) which pay the bills - so it's not like this is being created by a group of programmers who have nothing else on their plates.

From personal experience with a total conversion almost as ambitious as AE, the mod team's desire to be finished with the beast is far greater than your desire to play it. No joke.
