Rookie looking for an equally inexperienced opponent

I've never played a PBEM. I've played as the Japanese against the AI to April 41 and was successful up to that date. I would like to paly the grnd campaign stock. I'm not good enough to work the game engine but I'm open to house rules as long as they are not exessive. I'd much rather play as Japan but I'm not opposed to trying out the Allies.

Would be willing to play a game with you, I have played once as the Japanese before, but never as the allies.  Would also be willing to abide by some mutually agreeable house rules to "level the playing field".  Let me know.

Cool.

Sub doctrines OFF
No egregious use of single ship TFs
No training by bombing empty bases

I’m okay with everything else… I think.
I don’t try to abuse the game engine and I am into historical realism but not to the point that we simply reenact the actual conflict.  Also, this is a first for me so I’m probably not a very strong opponent.

If you have any other rules to add let me know.
Are you okay with being Allies?

So... this shows what a rookie I am. How do we start this thing? I'm new to any sort of PBEM.

I'm cool with being the Allies - never have been.

As for any rules, since you have to set the "realism" and "game options" I would suggest settings as follows:

REALISM:

Sub Doctrine - OFF
Fog of War - ON
Advance Weather - On
Allied Damage Control - ON
Historic First Turn - OFF [If you want]
Vary Setup - OFF
December 7th Surprise - ON
Reinforcments - + or - 15 days

GAME OPTIONS:

Combat Reports - ON
Auto sub ops - OFF
TF Move Radius - ON
Plane Move Radius - ON
Expand at the Start - OFF
Auto Upgrade Air Groups- OFF
Accept Air and Ground Auto Replacements - OFF
Turn Cycle - 1 day = 1 Turn
AI Difficulty - NO NEED

Scenerio 15 - BOTH OF US WILL SAVE IT IN "SLOT 006" WHEN ASKED TO SAVE.
PBEM Beginning:

See Rule 2.7.1 - it gives good instructions, but I will post them here as well:

1. Select PBEM PLAY
2. Select SCENERIO 15 then select START
3. As the Jap Player you will have to select a password for yourself - then commence your to issue your orders. Once your First Turn orders are complete - SELECT to "End Turn" and save it in "Slot 006" and then e-mail to me @ ksbelfry9@msn.com.
4. I will then look at my first turn [I can't do much of anything the first turn] and sent it back to you.
5. You will open the turn I have sent you [after you input your password] and the combat turn will run [always saved in slot 001].
6. Then do your moves for Turn 2, "end turn", save and send slots 001 and 006 to me.

Once you do it a couple of times it becomes much easier.

I'll await your first move.
