having checked the USSR ai thread it seems that the winter war with finland whilst mentioned in, its a bad idea to do it.

shouldn't there be something that makes USSR need to invade? and whilst I'm at it could there not be some type of Molovtov Ribbontrof pack button so the USSR automatical invades the east Poland and the Baltics?

This exists, check the Nazi-Soviet Pact rules (see rule 19.4 and Neutrality Pacts rules)
