Screen 7 is too busy.
Screen 6 is a perfect example of good density, foreground to background. For maximum impact, always keep it simple!

Maybe too busy, but I like it very much.ORIGINAL: marcuswatney

RE: Splash Screens
Rob, maybe you could try your recipe with this one for a new splash screen ?ORIGINAL: SLAAKMAN
Also an exquisite shot of the HMS Hood, leading HMS REPULSE and HMS Nelson in the Med. The glory is almost too much to bear! [:D]

RE: Splash Screens
Loving these.
Agree that #7 is too busy, love #8, plus I'm liking Hood on the last one!

They look very nice.
I like the tanks in nr 3. Would it be possible to see the tanks on the european background?
Nr 6 gives me a feel of the original box. Great work.
And last. Hood sailing on the flaming sea almost brings tears to my eyes. Please include it.

RE: Splash Screens
I have to agree. The new screens are very nice, but the last one with the battleships... quite impressive!
RE: Splash Screens
Any chance you can make the Battleships stand out more from the background & the flames, as you did for the Me262 in screen #5 or the Battleship in screen #2 ?ORIGINAL: robarmstrong
done
Anyway, I think this is looking good !!
RE: Splash Screens
I really like the last few (artillery crew filling screen, tanks filling screen, battleships filling screen).
More picture, less world, less flames.

If we make a wish list... a picture of a carrier would be nice.

I'd love to see a corsair, preferably head on. Gotta love that gull-wing monster, 2,000 horse power and the largest prop. on a fighter.

Love it!! [X(][:D] (My frogmen just sunk a British transport in Malta a few turns ago.)

RE: Splash Screens
the hood screen with highlighting as suggested, bit of a balance here between image strength and the fact that these are backgrounds, there will be text etc on top and that needs to be legible

The real trouble with reality is that there’s no background music.
