The unbeatable mosquito.

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

The unbeatable mosquito.

Ongoing campaign game, with me as axis. The Mossie FB's come in and fly out. I don't think I've ever shot one down in air to air combat, day or night. I figured it was all speed. Even if their escorts were bounced, the Mossies just zip right out. It's a little frustrating, so I decided on a little test. I broke out Harleys editor (Bless that man, his editor is still the coolest thing) and switched some units to Me-262, with some experten at the wheel. Sure enough the Mosquitos came in and were swarmed by Swallows. The escorts were decimated but the mosquitos just flew by everybody. What the heck? So I looked up the data. The Mosquito fighter-bombers have a manuever rating of 43, the highest of all planes, including spitfires and hurricanes. Will it be that way in the new version? If so, can anybody say why.

your using JC's OOB, that was a work around to the a bug with the FBs, where they got slaughtered if attacked, they didn't fight back

(if they got hit by flak, they would then be shot down)

Okee dokee. Thanks. That explains why the Typhoon is the next most manueverable aircraft of WW2.

Now thats too bad. One of my greatest moments was having a pack of three-plane patrols waiting for a big formation that had just attacked their base. I always despised those big 48 plane groups in Italy. I slaughtered them, at least 40 of 48 P-47s. I got the knights cross for that one, with diamonds and dinner for two at Goerings restaurant. People said I should be Fuhrer.
