Pretty much completed; but I'm hitting some hard tacks with rigging the thing; and specificially, arranging the treads; perhaps I should turn over the model to someone who knows more about this than I do?

I'm using MAX 7 for this btw....

Looking great Ryan!! Trouble with texturing the tread? If so, look at the example from post 48 in my thread ... from that bitmap (64x128) you need to map only a tiny portion of the faces over the tread model (top view) and it will repeat itself. I'm at work so I won't be able to give you a screen shot from MS3D for a few hours.

Hope that helps ... I'm sure stridor knows better about the whole thing.

Ryan, in MAX try using the  Unwrap UVW modifier, that should help you map those treads exactly the way yoiu want them.

Ah, well, since you do not wish death, then how about a rubber chicken?

Okay, the ZIP attached to this contains:

3D Studio MAX 7 file
*.3ds file, which pretty much any 3d modelling program can import
The reference drawing I've been using as a basis.

Basically, I decided to just release it to the community as a free file; with a lot of the 3D work done, so they can work on the texturing; I simply suck at arranging the UVW maps around; I basically was using four different textures, the track texture, a texture for the fenders, one for the turret, and another for the hull.

Nows I can move on to something else; like perhaps a King Tiger or Hetzer....?

EDIT: If you do texture and rig this for the game, please include a photoshop or paint shop pro multi-layer file, so that repaints from olive drab, to camouflage, to desert tan, can be easy.
