Editing in stack limit

Post by Grymme »

Hi

Does anyone now if its possibly to edit in a hard stack limit in hexes and/or units? I really think this is needed. If there would be a hard stack limit of say 500 stack points/hex and a limit of 200/unit (there could still be a crowding factor) it would be nice. I think it would both help the AI make a lot of decisions and make for better reality. And with a unit stack point there would be more manouvering and better realism.

does anyone now if its doable? If not then i think such an option it needs to be implemented/in AT2

You cannot edit the stack limit for each individual hex, unfortunately. You can only set a whole-scenario stack limit.

EDIT: Specifically, a whole-scenario stack limit that applies to each hex. The best way to tell the AI what is "important" is to use production centers - you may have noticed that the "optimized for AI" setting creates a bunch of small villages everywhere so the AI can use them as focus points.

Ahhh, is THAT why ? It now makes sense. I was trying to eliminate the small towns because too much production makes the game a bit of a hassle, IMHO, and yet the random map generator kept spitting out all these little tiny towns with like 500 production. I had the slider setting for number of towns down to like 1x and yet it still kept the little 'townlets' all over the place.

Now I know why ! Thanks !
