Anygood?

World in Flames is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. World In Flames is a highly detailed game covering the both Europe and Pacific Theaters of Operations during World War II. If you want grand strategy this game is for you.

Yes. In my opinion it's the best global simulation of WW II.

I worked at Boeing Helicopters for 3 years when they were just starting to flighttest the Osprey. It was hard on the test pilots.

Considering the insane amount of time this man has invested in turning the game into a computer version you might consider him biased. Mayhaps but he's right, the only caveat is the physical size of the maps; check the thread on smallest room the game has been played in. I was able to set up two tables so that the European and Asian maps were side by side instead of joined at their northern ends. This presents a truly inspiring wargaming view. Not only was the play itself the right mix of abstraction and detail but we'd often stop at the end of a turn, tidy up the stacks, and then just spend a little time enjoying the situation.

Why choose the lesser evil: Vote Cthulhu.

On a global scale..yep..it is the best one out there. But then I only know a few that covered the entire war. As for size, it can be put on a 6x8 foot table with room to spare where as some board games I have go well beyond that, but then they are either Pacific or Europe only.
