Vary Setup

Post by JamesM »

Will this option be available?

If so, I feel it would be good to have another option that simulates a third strike on Pearl harbor on Dec 7.

Also, see my War Plan Orange rules--the Japanese player has the option at any point of declaring total war (allowing him to move into the Eastern Pacific), but if he does, the war continues into 1945-6. Otherwise, the situation is evaluated every three months to see whether Japan is far enough ahead to trigger an armistice on the current front line (which was the Japanese goal once the SRA was captured).

Was an armistice ever an option after Pearl Harbour?? I think the Japs blew that option with the surprise attack - unlikely the US would have agreed to any armistice after that - it was all or nothing.

The War Plan Orange rules only hold if the Japanese never attack Hawaii, Alaska, or the continental United States. Note an attack on the Panama Canal is allowed, as are attacks on minor possessions and the Philippines.
