Did they ever?

Long ago there was an officer drain, Mostly allied, where your officers , especially important ones would just defect to the other side and be gone for ever.

Has this been fixed?

I would like to play again after all this time, but this is a game stopper for me if not fixed. Someone must know.

Most of the problems with the Leader Bug have been fixed, but in a game this size we can't expect that they all have. In general, if you're using v1.806 you will not see this happen except once in a very great while. Give it a try, TT, you'll like the results of the patches...

In my case the drain was always American lost to Japan, never the reverse. And they were useless as Japanese as well, usually LT's with no chance to command anything appropriate.
