airplane upgrades

Forgive me as I am new to this wargaming. I purchased Uncommon Valor but have not been able to figure out
how to upgrade the aircraft type-for example change from the aircobra to lightenings. Also 2by6 sent me an email saying that an editor comes with the game but I'll be darned if I can
find out where it is. Can anyone out there answer these questions?

Upgrades happen automatically for squadrons in range of Brisbane / Noumea once enough replacement planes are in the pool to equal the squadron's max size (often 24 planes). Check the main forum for a list from Rich Dionne explaining the upgrade paths.

Check the SCEN sub-folder of Uncommon Valor. You'll find a .exe file there, that's the campaign editor. Also check the main forum for another post from Rich giving some advice on how best to start creating your own campaigns.

Howdy every one, just got game about a
week ago and I love it. Gotta be one of the best sims ever!!!!!!

One concern.... when playing Japan, I
still keep getting 65 A6M2's per month even though most of my squadrons vave upgraded to A6M3's. I have 173 A6M2's in pool, but my A6M3 daitai's are low on planes. What's with that. Now I can't change them back too the M2's. Why doesn't AI switch to building more A6M3's instead of 65 M2's plus 35 M3's???
