Spwaw and NT + 100000 other probs :)

Post by Ulrik »

First of all: I'm playing on NT (vrs.4??) and it has to be said it doesn't work at 100%... I can't press the "mission" button... then it all chrashes... wich is a pity since it effects my purchase quite a lot... it allso crashes at other times, but I have seen not pattern there.... it's usually when I just had a lucky break... :)

Secondly: I no sounds during the bombardment phase... how I would love to hear my 25 pounders hammer away at the blasted jerrys... any files I miss?? Oh yea I use the 7.1 (or sommeth.. the latest, with add on sounds)

Question nr. 3: The finnish bisycle infantry. Why can't they enter buildings?? Can't they leave the bikes outside?? :) Futhermore... why do I get: "Jeager 40 Left side hit by XXXX" is it a vehicle? ... I do love the "Jeager 40 suspension damage" though... unconfy ride for the rest of the battle ehh???

What else?? oh yes... why can't I find trains and boats in the editor??? I wish to make a small campagne for a friend but I need both..

All help is appreciated!

H'lo Ulrik, and welcome to the board!
It's nice to see that yet another beetroot..uh... Swede has joined the community! Two things: visit Goblin's "screen names" thread in the Hall of Fame, and get over to the "opponents wanted" forum :D

I'll pass on q1; NT isn't 100% game friendly...

q2: do you have Fast artillery ON or OFF? You won't hear the sounds with fast artillery ON.

q3: It's a known issue that bicycle infantry (or MC's or cavalry) can't enter buildings. One of the quirks with SP:WAW, you learn to live with it. ;) What do you mean with the "Jaeger 40"...? Are those the bicyclists? Then indeed the messages are a bit odd...

hmm.. I'm not too familiar with scenario design, but I think some stuff are stowed away in the "lesser" OOB's, like the Czech or Romanian??

Make sure you have the latest NT service pack installed also. To the best of my knowledge SPWAW doesn't have any issues with an updated NT operating system. Which version of SPWAW are you running?

The artillery thunders away!! Ta ta... :)

The NT version is definitely not the latest one... I'll check that one out...

Yes, the version is 7.1.

I have to admit I still can't find any trains though... shame on a cool scenario...

How very nice with a forum where on actually gets help, and fast too!

Thanks guys!!

For trains, change to Norway Dec 49. That is where the scenario specific items are. That way they don't accidentally get bought for normal battles.
thanks, John.
